When I opened the NYC studio in 2006, I was 29 years old. I had taught mainly at a studio on Bleecker Street that was celebrity and youth flooded. I recognized very quickly that it didn’t make sense to have a 25 year old and an 83 year old person in the same class. They need different things from Pilates.
That philosophy came to life in a specialized offering: the Pilates Mature Body Method®.
Designed with intention and care, this class supports the evolving needs of the body, helping clients move with confidence, strength, and ease. The Pilates Method meets you where you are at which is super easy to do within private sessions. What about group classes? This population needed and deserved it’s own class.
