Taylor Gordon is a NYC-based Pilates instructor, dancer, and choreographer with 15 years of teaching experience. She received her mat & apparatus certifications through Pilates Academy International, where she was also a Teacher Trainer. Through the American Council on Exercise, she holds specialist certifications in Senior Fitness, Functional Training, and Group Fitness, and she completed her 200-hour Yoga Certification. She has taught, performed, and choreographed across the world, including multiple tours to Europe & Asia, and across the US. She also has workout videos on Amazon.
Taylor has worked with all levels, ages, and abilities of Pilates students, including injured, recovering, and blind clients. She enjoys sharing the joy of movement and tailoring sessions to each body’s needs. Her Pilates teaching experience in NYC includes Westside Pilates, The United Nations Ballet Club, The Mercedes Club, and corporate classes. Taylor has danced at Lincoln Center with The Metropolitan Opera Ballet, The Radio City Christmas Spectacular, Off-Broadway and national tour of Angelina Ballerina The Musical, The Kennedy Center, Jacob’s Pillow, internationally as a director and dance captain with Dublin Worldwide Productions, and many more. She earned a BA in Communication Arts and a Master’s Degree in Publishing by age 20 and writes freelance. She actively choreographs and her creative work has been presented at Princeton University, STEPS, Dance Lab NY, Dixon Place, amongst other places. Taylor joined the staff at The Pilates Movement NYC in April of 2016. Currently, she teaches in studio and on our virtual platform.
